In this course, students will learn to draw and paint the human figure or portrait by studying from a live model. Fundamentals such as proportion, anatomy, light, form, rendering techniques, and color theory will be discussed and demonstrated. This is a fantastic course for intermediate/advanced skill levels. We do consequent 8 to 10 weeks sessions. Notes: This course is for intermediate to advanced students. In case of fifth Friday, Saturday or Sunday of a particular month, those days deposit towards make up classes. Due to instability of model's schedules, we are offering the December sessions without a model but with a lower price!

Painting and Drawing Class with Alexandra Manukyan

Students explore various mediums and techniques about painting and drawing under Alexandra's guidance. We individually tailor each class to the needs, goals and the level of each student. We examine materials, techniques, color, composition, drawing techniques, and content through individual instruction and critique. Some painting and drawing experience is recommended. We also help with personal projects and portfolio pieces. Students receive one on one attention in a group setting geared towards reaching individual artistic goals. Materials discussed: Graphite, Charcoal, Pastels, Pen &Ink, oils colors. Notes: This course is for intermediate to advanced students.
