Duration: 5 hours; $329; In Alaska, looking for a great time? Hop aboard a 25-foot safe boat for a coastal saltwater safari, and uproarious fun will ensue! Black bears. We're talking about black bears. The romp begins on the Ketchikan waterfront. Head north 26 miles upon launch, over the course of one hour of scenic meanderings. Your destination: Margaret Bay and Traitors Cove. During the mid-summer and early fall months, salmon runs bring hungry bears en masse to the renowned wilderness destination. Your captain will navigate the vessel through the Tongass Narrows and Clover Passage, which is surrounded by old-growth forest and pristine mountain views. Discover bays, inlets, and sanctuaries. In addition to bears, spot bald eagles, breaching whales...and, dare we say, Big Foot? Maybe not. But there is a cool lighthouse. You'll also dock in Traitor's Cove and take a quick ride to Marguerite Creek trailhead, where a rainforest trail will take you to the bear viewing falls. Throughout the adventure, your knowledgeable captain and guide will educate you on the flora, fauna, and natural history of the area, bringing context to all that you see. Remember, don't feed the bears. And hold onto your picnic basket. Cancellation Policy: If cancellation is made prior to 60 days, it is fully refundable. If between 30-59 days, it is 50% refundable.
