AG Landscape Materials, Inc. provides both retail and commercial customers with quality landscape material.
Because of our location we are very accessible to the Northwest and Western Suburbs of Chicago.
We carry a variety of hardscape materials necessary to complete your projects.
Are you doing some updating on your landscaping? We carry topsoil, compost, garden mix, fill dirt, mulches, sod, seed, and edging. Are you or are you thinking about installing your own patio, walkway, or retaining wall? Or do you currently have some brick work that you just need to rejuvenate? Either way, we are an authorized Unilock dealer. For another look have you considered using flagstone? We carry several different kinds. A.G. Landscape Materials, Inc. will deliver materials, throughout the Chicagoloand area, to your driveway. One exception to this is the delivery of cobblestones. Cobblestones must be delivered to an area that will not damage asphalt or concrete. The most common drop area for the cobblestones is usually in the parkway. Our general delivery area ranges from Lake Forest to Homer Glen and from Elgin to Lake Michigan (including most of the city of Chicago). Delivery charges are based on the town to which we are delivering.
Call our office or complete an Estimate Request Form for the delivery charge to your town. We do have a two (2) yard minimum on most of our deliveries. Most deliveries can usually be made within a day or two of ordering, although as with most scheduling projects, the more notice we get the more likely you will get the delivery time you want. Deliveries are scheduled for either the morning or afternoon, depending on your wants
Split loads (2 different types of material on 1 truck) are available with most material
the exception being the delivery of Decorative Stone. We can split a load of up to 2 and 3 yards of material (for example, 2 cubic yards of topsoil and 3 yards of mulch or 3 cubic yards of gravel and 2 yards of sand...). There is an additional charge of $25.00 to split the load; however, this will save you the difference between this and cost of an additional delivery charge
Semi-Loads of material are available through our direct ship program
For this type of delivery, we need a 3 5 day lead time as we need to coordinate with the trucking company we use and there must be access for a semi-truck to enter the area and raise the dump bed
Delivery of Firewood is available
usually at discounted rate from our landscape materials delivery rates. Stacking of the firewood at your location is also available, for an additional fee. There are a few limitations for stacking
Firewood
We sell both mixed and oak firewood.
Firewood is a great way to save on the high cost of energy bills throughout the cold winter months in the Chicagoland area
Our mixed wood consists of a combination of various types of woods.
In the mix, you will find maple, ash, locust, oak and other types of woods. We do not include pine or spruce in our mix as these types of woods may create creosote in your chimney
A fire made from oak wood typically burns hotter and longer than a fire made from mixed wood.
There are usually also more coals and less flame. A fire made from oak is considered to be a better heating fire
A fire made from mixed wood will usually consist of more flames and be a more colorful fire.
Although the fire does not produce as many heating therms as the oak, it will definitely add warmth to the area
Variety of Quantities
We sell our firewood in a variety of quantities:
Face Cords
Most economical way to purchase. A face cord is 4' X 8' stacked. We cross stack only the ends. A face cord contains approximately 220 - 240 pieces of wood. Each piece of wood is approximately 14" - 18" in length
1/2 Face Cord
Approximately 110 - 120 pieces of wood. Each piece of wood is approximately 14" - 18" in length
Ricks
Ricks are smaller quantities of firewood. We offer ricks in 2 sizes: 60 Piece Rick (60 Pieces of wood), 30 Piece Rick (30 Pieces of wood)

We also have the capability of plowing your driveway or parking lot on a per time basis.
So, if you find yourself in a jam (i.e. your snow blower breaks down, you injure yourself, you run out of time, or you just don't have the energy to do it), give us a call or send us an e-mail and we can dispatch a truck to your location. The cost will depend on location, size of area to be plowed and snow fall amount. If you would like more information regarding this service, please contact us
Normally our "per time" requests will be completed after our contracted runs are finished.

Snow Removal Services
We have loaders and dump trucks available after snow events or after several events where snow piles up. This service may be especially valuable to those after a large snow fall, blizzard event, or after several snow falls have accumulated and the piles hinder traffic or parking capabilities
Bag / Bulk Rock Salt
A.G. Landscape Materials, Inc.
has bulk rock salt available now and throughout the season by the cubic yard and a limited quantity of ice melting salt in 50 lb. bags
The 50 lb. bags are available for pick up and are very convenient for homeowners to keep in your garage.
For snow plow professionals, we are open before and after regular hours for purchasing and loading bulk quantities of salt.
Some examples of customers who use our bulk rock salt include school districts, office buildings, car dealerships, shopping malls, grocery stores, restaurants, homeowner's associations, apartment complexes, and churches throughout the Greater Chicagoland Area

VanGundy Landscape, Inc., which is a company that was started in 1980 as a design/build firm. Throughout the years of working on landscape projects we have gained 1st hand knowledge of landscaping materials.
