Myofascial Release
Myofascial release is a soft tissue therapy for the treatment of skeletal muscle immobility and pain. The method engages the myofascial tissue and loads it with constant force until release occurs. To achieve this, practitioners can use knuckles, elbows, or other tools to slowly stretch the restricted fascia. The practitioner moves slowly through the layers of the fascia until the deep tissues are reached

Red Light Spot Therapy
Red light therapy has been used as a natural healing modality going back to the 1970's. NASA used it originally to keep astronauts healthy while they were in space. A number of leading university medical research centers including Harvard, MIT, Tufts, Wisconsin University & many others have studied the benefits of red light therapy's mitochondrial healing effects. There are more than 3,000 studies & articles conducted by the National Institute of Health (NIH) that support a variety of use cases & conditions where red light therapy promoted healing effects in humans & animals. Red Light Therapy, also known as photobiomodulation and low level light therapy, uses red low-level wavelengths of light for a variety of health and wellness benefits. Red light is considered "low level" because it works at an energy density that's low compared to other forms of laser therapies. In the early 1990s, Red Light Therapy was used by scientists to help grow plants in space. They found that the intense light from red LEDs promoted the growth and photosynthesis of plant cells. Red light was then studied for its ability to increase energy inside human cells. The human body needs to make ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) cellular energy to function and survive. This occurs naturally when our bodies are exposed to natural sunlight. Red and near infrared wavelengths of natural light stimulate the mitochondria in our cells. The mitochondria turn the light into usable energy for our bodies through the process of cellular respiration. The light has been shown to bring energy to cells, reduce pain, increase Collagen and Elastin production in skin cells, speed up the wound healing process, reduce inflammation, and provide numerous anti-aging benefits. Benefits: • Reduction of Chronic and Acute Pain • Skin Rejuvenation (boost collagen & elastin production) • Tissue Regeneration • Wound Healing • Muscle Recovery • Muscle Conditioning • Testosterone Boost • Reduced Inflammation

Scar Tissue Release
The Scar Tissue Release and Integrated Therapies method —STRAIT™, for short — is a three-dimensional, fascial-release system that works to minimize scar-tissue development and the subsequent physiological restrictions. Adhered tissues are released and then realigned from their starting point, which is the visible scar, to their end point — where the line of frozen fascia stops. No matter how new or old your scar, Scar Tissue Release Therapy can help. Even decades-old scars can be released. Benefits of scar-tissue release therapy: There are multiple reasons to undergo scar tissue release therapy. Lessens the appearance of scars Helps to prevent and reduce adhesions forming after injury or surgery Restore nerve function including numbness, pain, and sensitivity Reduce pain and restriction (including cording and dragging) Helps to relieve stress on the body from fascial tension Improves flexibility Reduces muscle spasms Promotes balance in the body Helps maintain good posture Improves athletic performance Reduces the risk of muscle tears and strains Improves the flow of oxygen and nutrients through the body Helps regain and maintain a full range of joint movement Stimulates lymph circulation Reduces the possibility of long-term problems due to fascial adhesions

Cupping Therapy
Cupping is defined as a vacuum of negative pressure applied with flexible silicone cups that bring circulation and remodel Myofascial tissue below the skin to generate physical change. The silicone cups are flexible and easy to apply and do not require heat or flame as compared to glass cupping to create a vacuum. The cups can be applied to different areas of the body with a small application of oil to get a proper seal and the suction can easily be adjusted to the client's comfort level. After sitting on the skin for a while, the cups can then be moved very slowly over the area of pain to create a "stretch" in the fascia and to focus circulation to that particular area, drawing out toxins and releasing stagnated blood. It can create circular marks called petechiae that may last up to a week. This is normal and should not be cause for concern. How many times have you felt so tight that the massage therapist could stand on the table and it still would not feel deep enough? That is because the only way to truly affect the tissue on a deeper level is not with more pressure. It comes with working on the connective tissue that wraps around every organ, muscle, nerve and blood vessel – the fascia. As one continuous sheet that encapsulates every part in our body gets "tangled and tight", it becomes like plastic wrap around a roll that gets bunched up. Cupping is one way to experience deep tissue massage more comfortably with greater benefits to the deeper layers. It literally unwinds the fascia, giving you more flexibility and less pain – which is the ultimate goal. Here are the top 5 reasons to add Cupping Massage to your regular massage treatment; Is comfortable to receive as compared to other Myofascial stretching techniques Brings circulation to an area of poor circulation or ischemia Creates a healthier skin tone and strength to the tissues Releases blockage of cold stagnated blood from deeper layers that can be a source of pain Increases flexibility and reduces pain by properly aligning fascia and creating balance internally You will see better results in less time after only a few treatments, depending on the severity and length of time of the condition. Hydration, stretching and soaking in magnesium bath salts will help diminish any soreness or discoloration. Ask your massage therapist about adding this to your regular regimen and let us make our "mark" on your wellness.

Orthopedic Massage Therapy
Orthopedic Massage (OM) describes a comprehensive system, rather than a single technique, that involves therapeutic assessment, manipulation, and movement of soft tissues to resolve pain and dysfunction. OM's focus is restoring function and structural balance throughout the body for both prevention and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal dysfunctions. OM takes a multidisciplinary approach that looks to resolve the origin of the pain and dysfunction either from trauma-induced injuries or postural imbalances that exacerbate the pain through daily activities. Common orthopedic conditions can stem from sports injuries, postural imbalances due to poor work ergonomics, chronic pain and scar tissue from surgery or traumatic injury.

Neuromuscular Manual Therapy
Neuromuscular therapy is a specialized form of deep tissue massage in which digital pressure and friction are used to release areas of strain in the muscle. NMT is highly effective for clients who present with chronic pain and is often successful in reducing or eliminating even longstanding painful conditions. Some of the techniques can also be applied to acute injuries and for post-surgical care; many help to improve performance in sport or dance and to prevent injuries due to these activities.

Our team of practitioners specialize in clinical massage therapy, bodywork to relieve pain, reduce stress, improve performance, and enhance your overall health. We believe the body-mind holds the possibility of healing itself when properly supported. Our goal is to facilitate each individual’s innate healing ability. In order to accomplish this goal, we listen and observe carefully, respond with appropriately designed treatment, and educate our clients about self-care strategies
By touching a body, we touch every event it has experienced. For a few brief moment we hold all of a client's stories in our hands. We witness someone's experience of their own flesh, through some of the most powerful means possible: the contact of our hands, the acceptance of the body without judgment, and the occasional listening ear. With these gestures we reach across the isolation of the human experience and hold another person's legend. In massage therapy, we show up and ask, in so many ways, what it is like to be another human being.
