Collaborative Ghost Printmaking
What would you make if you inherited a series of marks? Where does ownership lie in a collaborative process? This workshop series will acquaint participants with collaborative art making using copperplate monotype printmaking and the utilization of ghost imagery. Plates will be shared between participants resulting in a group portfolio for each artist.
Stitching, sewing, and assembling unique pieces of sculpture in the form of wearable art, students acquire the basic skills of fashion design while exploring elements of movement, performance & identity. Special focus will be dedicated to textiles, technology and repurposed materials, synthesizing performance and visual language.
Fragmenting Realities: Still + Moving Digital Images
Explore film, video, photography, and other digital mediums with a focus on narrative, documentary, and experimental montage. Learn technical production skills alongside the history and language within digital imagery. Challenge and reevaluate limits in the digital age. Participants will work both collaboratively and independently on projects while acquiring a basic understanding for digital processes and development.
Learn the foundation of drawing and painting to create unique artworks from direct observation and using your imagination. Use pencil, charcoal, and a variety of paints, while experimenting with line, shape, color, texture, and space.
