FEEL IT, TOUCH IT, TASTE IT
Diana Bratton is the chef, founder and owner of Cafe 1217, an upbeat and cheerful “gourmet to go”, dine in café and catering company in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Diana attended and received her culinary degree from El Centro College in Dallas, Texas and has continued her education at the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, California. The café’s fresh ideas are inspired by California cuisine and Diana’s deep South Texas roots. Fresh, unpretentious, comfort food, simply presented is what keeps the locals and dedicated out of town patrons coming back year after year. Café 1217 has been a hotspot for the likes of Beau Bridges and Bob Hoskins.
Diana credits the many awards that Cafe 1217 has received to creating everything that comes from the kitchen is from only the freshest, finest ingredients, making everything from scratch and relying on food's natural beauty to speak for itself. The café’s menu is also changed monthly. “This keeps me challenged and it’s a whole new experience each month for our customers” says Diana. To keep her skills and knowledge of the culinary world on the cutting edge, Diana attends yearly classes in Napa, California.
